Cocktail Decor Sunday, November 28, 2010 ~ 4:12 p.m.

I had a mini panic attack yesterday, when I realized that we're almost at the two month mark for the wedding. I haven't gotten nearly enough done! Time to get into the nitty gritty -- no more procrastinating!

I've been thinking and researching a lot to find different ways to really personalize our destination wedding (which is at a resort), make it fun and thoughtful, without having to spend much more money. One idea that I love is adding personalized cocktail stirrers to the cocktail hour and reception. I'm not extremely crafty, but I think I could pull the stirrers off myself! There are several great free templates available online. Some of my favorites are these "Sweet Tea" stir sticks on Style Me Pretty, as well as this template for cocktail flags and these adorable bowties. Or, if you're not so into the "DIY" thing, Print Your Party on Etsy a sells printable labels for you to assemble yourself. You may also want to purchase your stirsticks from Allie Ruth and pinkcherrymama.

Another way to add a little personality into your day are customized coasters and cocktail napkins. These aren't really "DYI-friendly," but they can be purchased a reasonable price at many favor and printing websites such as Beaucoup, The Knot or Indie Wedding Napkins.
