Touching Airport Proposal and Photo Shoot Thursday, October 20, 2011 ~ 9:43 a.m.

No matter how many amazing weddings a photographer may have shot in the past, I imagine that there's nothing quite as special as having the opportunity to capture a proposal...such an intimate, "surprise" moment for a couple in love. Being an essential part of all the plotting and planning beforehand, feeling the suspense leading up to the proposal and then finally getting to witness (and capture) the pure joy surrounding the big moment has to be a one-of-a-kind experience for anyone!

Well, I have a special photo shoot for you guys today that is sure to make you smile! I'm excited to share an especially touching airport proposal photo shoot in Atlanta, Georgia, by Gracie Blue Photography.

In addition to the lovely photographs themselves, I also have to admire the amount of creativity and thought that Bo put into his proposal to his soon-to-be wife, Kaylen. Bo was originally inspired by his and Kaylen's shared love of traveling, and Kaylen's self-professed dream " someday marry Bo and travel all around the world." The couple started the day casually wandering the streets and cafes nearby in Virginia Highlands, as their photographer, Grace, snapped photos under the pretense that they were all there for a couple's photo session.

The second (and most exciting!) portion of their "couple's" photo shoot began later that day on the tarmac at a local airport. After snapping a few photos there, Grace faded into the background as Bo dropped down on one knee and proposed to Kaylen. "At times, I was honestly invisible, which I absolutely loved. They were simply in their own world," said Grace. Of course, Kaylen said, "Yes!" and couldn't stop praising Bo for his insane amount of creativity with the proposal. After Bo slipped the GORGEOUS diamond engagement ring on Kaylen's finger, they happily cut off each other's leather bracelets, which they had both worn as a symbol of their commitment to one another throughout their relationship. Grace documented this special moment rather perfectly by snapping a photo of the leather bracelets shaped into a heart lying in the palm of Kaylen and Bo's hands.

...and just when you thought all of that was enough to make this proposal totally awesome, Bo also gave Kaylen a leather bound travel journal, where he had already written a sweet love note for her to read after he popped the question. The letter was such a great way to add a small note of intimacy to the moment that wasn't there before. In it, Bo wrote, "We have so much to look forward to in the future, but now is, without a doubt, the happiest moment of my life because I am about to give my heart to the most perfect woman I will ever meet."

Okay, you can turn into a pile of mush now ;)
