It's not often that I come across a wedding that is this cool, or this FUN! Sure, all of the beautiful décor and classic details were there too; the bride went with a more modern purple and lime green color palette, which was showcased in the elegant floral arrangements, bridesmaid dresses and the wedding cake. Most importantly though, this couple will certainly be able to look back at their wedding photos and share some laughs over what I assume will be many very fond memories.
The bride and groom, Breanna and Zac are self-proclaimed "Desert Junkies," who love to play in the dirt. In fact, the couple's super fun engagement photo shoot featured the two of them tearing it up in their garage-built desert buggy! So it seems only fitting that their wedding venue does their love of desert adventure justice. The classic wedding ceremony and the evening reception immediately following was held at an actual ghost town mining camp in the hills of Coachella, California. Guests and members of the wedding party were driven to the ceremony in wagons, to watch Zac and Breanna marry on a Fall afternoon.
Photographer Justin Martens of Your Inner Song managed to capture some great shots of the couple and wedding party exploring the sleepy town, playing at the shooting range, inside the jail and donning goofy mustaches and hats before making their big entrance into the reception. Attendees were kept very well entertained with dinner and dancing, as well as fun games of horseshoes, pool, and even some good 'ol gold mining!
Photos of the bride and groom's big day are included below. Note the shot of a framed "I hate boys" letter, which was written by Breanna as a kid. Love it!
