Bright, Offbeat Wedding in St. Patty's Day Green Thursday, March 17, 2011 ~ 12:08 p.m.

I thought this late Summer wedding would be perfect for St. Patty's Day! I've been seeing the lime green and orange color palette in weddings everywhere lately, and I can definitely see why. It's a really fun color combination; bright, cheerful and just a little offbeat. Like most color themes, this one is best reflected in the choice of flowers, which mainly consisted of green and white button mums, bright orange gerbera daisies, yellow poms or "Billy balls," orange marigolds, red pincushions and freshly cut grass.

Bride and groom, Erin and Eric (so cute, by the way), were married at the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in St. Paul, Minnesota. The bride looked stunning in a long, flowy strapless wedding dress in ivory, but I'm really in love with her hairstyle, which she topped off with a sweet silk flower and cage veil. Erin's four bridesmaids and maid of honor wore green silk dresses with varying necklines, and I have to mention the two absolutely adorable flower girls pictured, who will definitely melt your heart! Each of the little ladies wore a sweet orange dress with an ivory bow tied over the shoulder and carried a small pomander made of bright green button mums...And that ivory flower headband just about does me in! So cute!

Immediately following the ceremony, the couple welcomed guests to their wedding reception at the Minnesota History Center. Photographer Erin Johnson did an amazing job of capturing the offbeat venue and the highlight of the space, a large wooden airplane hovering below a gorgeous wooden dome ceiling. The bright floral centerpieces by Lydia Jane Floral and cheerful wedding decor varied from table to table, including short arrangements of green grass, candles, green and orange flowers and small green pomanders.

Hope you're wearing your green today!!!

I love the greens and oranges together in this wedding. The children are also adorable.

Hi Megan! I found out that the bride actually had the flower girl dresses custom made, and she modeled them after one she found at J.Crew.

Hi Jennifer! I was able to find out that the bride's mother, who is a graphic designer, created the invitations for her.

Hello, do you know if the bride wore a Bandeau style birdcage?
