It has been raining a bit more than usual here in Los Angeles, and when it rains, I tend to take the easy way out and just pull my hair back out of fear of the frizz. I'm a big fan of the loose low bun, which almost any girl can pull off rather effortlessly. I'll admit it was actually my go-to hairstyle back when I was a nine-to-fiver (out of pure laziness). But lately, I've been rocking the side braid; a super easy, modernized version of a classic feminine hairdo.
Anyway, it got me thinking about bridal hairstyles for spring. The beauty of the classic bun and modern side braid is that it works with just about any look. Business casual, elegant ball gown, jeans and a t-shirt...whatever you're in the mood for. Not to mention that buns and braids are nearly impossible to mess up (in fact, it often looks best when it is a little undone).
Really, a bride can't go wrong with either elegant updo for her wedding day. Just be sure to avoid the high school prom look by keeping it light and forgoing the heavy hair products.
