Winery Wedding with Bold Colors and Sweet Personal Touches Thursday, March 31, 2011 ~ 9:51 a.m.

The couple featured in today's wedding is just about the cutest ever. Not only that, but Photographer Jillian Bisinger skillfully captures the bride and groom, Ginny and Andrew, sharing real laughs with their friends and family, while taking full advantage of the amazing wedding venue and bold wedding decor.

Ginny and Andrew fell in love with the very first and only venue they visited- the Viaggio Estate and Winery in Acampo, California. The Tuscan inspired private estate provided the rustic, outdoor setting that the couple was looking for; intimately nestled between the Mokelumne River and dozens of walnut orchards. With a shared love of the great outdoors, the bride and groom married outside in front of 190 guests in the "Valley of the Trees," a narrow pathway lined with tall trees. The bride walked down the aisle in a strapless Alfred Sung wedding dress with champagne colored heels and simple diamond earrings. Each of Ginny's nine bridesmaids wore a knee or floor length dress by Priscilla of Boston in Lapis, a rich purple (and also Ginny's favorite color), and each of the groomsmen wore a sleek tuxedo with a black shirt and tie.

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour set nearby alongside the river. The tall cocktail tables were draped with bold Topaz Iris linens and topped with small arrangements of seasonal flowers and coasters printed with their last initial, "W". Guests then moved into the Viaggio ballroom, an impressive three-story reception venue with dinner and seating provided on the first and second floors, and a "Zany Photo booth" and plenty of dancing on the top floor.

Ginny and Andrew wanted their head table at the reception to stand out amongst the rest. Their long banquet table was covered with ivory linens, with two large Manzanitas decorated with crystals and flowers. The other round reception tables were covered with purple, Topaz Iris linens, decorated with votive candles and fall floral arrangements in the couple's wedding colors: purple, orange (Andrew's favorite color) and green, along with a glass charger, menu and a "Love Rock" wedding favor at each place setting. Now, what IS a "Love Rock," you ask? It's one of the sweetest stories I've heard in a while, so I thought that I'd let the bride, Ginny explain its significance:

During the first few months of dating, Andrew bought me a rock that had, "LOVE" inscribed on it. We called it our "Love Rock." One night, I found the rock hidden under my pillow by Andrew. The next morning, I put the rock in the shower for Andrew to find. We began to hide our "Love Rock" in places we knew the other would find it. When we would find the Love Rock, we knew it was another way we say, "I love you." Andrew often works night (as a highway patrol officer), so this was a great reminder that we were always thinking about one another.

Each guest received a "Love Rock" with a note that said, "Take this Love Rock and do as we do. Hide your rock around the house and when your loved one finds it, he/she will be reminded that you love them." Ever since the wedding, Ginny and Andrew have heard from numerous couples who have used their "Love Rock" to express their love for one another. If that isn't a truly meaningful wedding favor, then I don't know WHAT is!

For the remainder of the evening, guests dined on butter seared steak and stuffed portabella mushrooms, and enjoyed an assortment of fine Viaggio wines. After dinner, Ginny, Andrew and their guests moved upstairs, where Ginny and Andrew danced to "Someone Like You," by Van Morrison. The newly married couple celebrated with their friends and family throughout the night, dancing and taking advantage of the "Zany Photo Booth," where guests posed for funny photos using whatever props they could get their hands on.
