Remember when teal was HUGE for weddings? It was the color for a while there, and then many brides inevitably grew tired of the "Tiffany & Co." look (I know I did!) and began to gravitate toward bright, contrasting color combinations like black & white, and apple green & fuschia. Which wedding colors will be up next? Invitation Crush put together their best trend predictions for what colors and palettes will be popular for weddings in 2011. Colors that dominate the trend include shades of pinks, greys, blues and greens.
As we transition from winter into spring, light, easy color schemes filled with blues, teals and greens are beginning to make a comeback. These wedding colors, in particular, are very well suited for the new big trend in wedding paper: Watercolors. The soft, watery blend of colors often makes wedding paper appear more delicate, and almost handmade. Taking cues straight from mother nature, the wedding paper below uses gorgeous ocean-inspired blends of blues and greens to give a soft, peaceful and organic look to the latest wedding invitations, menus, programs and thank you cards from some of my favorite vendors on the web.
