A Paper Proposal's First Giveaway EVER! Monday, April 25, 2011 ~ 8:38 a.m.

We had some family over for Easter brunch yesterday, so I spent the few days prior trying to get the apartment all cleaned up and pretty for visitors. It doesn't matter who it is, either...my mom, best friend, whoever. My poor husband knows that this place has to be positively spotless whenever anyone comes over...honestly, we usually get all of our heavy duty cleaning done when preparing for visitors.

Anyway, we got all of our wedding photos in the mail last week, so I dedicated a good amount of time swapping out photos and hanging picture frames all of over the apartment. I'm totally in love with the look of an entire wall dedicated to pictures and artwork. It was actually a bit more complicated a task than I originally thought...arranging the photos in the right way, making sure they're all perfectly straight and evenly spaced. I ran out of frames before I could really finish, but here's how my little wall turned out (along with some pretty tulips I had purchased for Easter Sunday!)...

 Easter tulips for spring

Almost all of the photos are from our wedding, with the exception of the piece of artwork in the middle, which is a canvas piece Dale and I picked up at a fair several years ago. It's a photo of the Manhattan Beach pier, which is around where Dale used to live when we first started dating. It always brings back tons of happy memories! I'm actually contemplating another one for our bedroom...

GIVEAWAY - Easy Canvas Prints

Easy Canvas Prints giveaway on A Paper Proposal wedding blog
Which brings me to my giveaway! This week, I'm excited to partner with Easy Canvas Prints for my very first giveaway on A Paper Proposal. One of you freaking awesome, totally amazing Paper Proposal readers (I kind of feel like a game show host right now, not gonna lie) will win a canvas print of whatever your pretty little heart desires.

Easy Canvas Prints offers large scale prints similar to the one that I purchased at the street fair, only without the crowds and pushy street vendors. Go to their website and select a canvas size, depth, and your desired border, and then upload a high quality photo of your choice. You can mess with the colors and work with a rep for a little bit of retouching, and voila! Your print will arrive at your door in a week or two. Easy enough, right?

All of the details on how to enter are below, and next Monday, I'll choose one comment at random to win a free canvas print using the photo of your choice.

PS...Please help me out by spreading the word as much as you can this week...I'm crossing my fingers that this thing goes well (meaning that more than 5 people enter...? =).

There are multiple ways to enter:

1. Leave a comment on this blog post briefly describing what photo or piece of artwork you have or would like to have on your mantle. No worries...you won't be judged on your answer, and it definitely doesn't have to be a wedding photo!

i.e. Sarah {A Paper Proposal} - I'd love a canvas print of a photo that I took at the beach in Mexico on my honeymoon!

2. Receive an extra entry by tweeting the giveaway to your followers. Just be sure to include #Giveaway and @APaperProposal in your tweet, and remember to leave an extra blog comment below telling me you did it, so you get that extra entry!

i.e. Just entered the Easy Canvas Print #giveaway on @APaperProposal! http://ow.ly/4GrTt

3. "Like" A Paper Proposal on Facebook.

4. "Like" Easy Canvas Prints on Facebook.

5. Follow A Paper Proposal on Twitter.

This giveaway will remain open until Sunday, May 1st at midnight PST.

Anyone in the continental U.S. may enter, and as you can see, you can enter up to five times...just be sure to leave a comment for each entry telling me what you did. For instance, if you "liked" Easy Canvas Prints on Facebook, include a comment below telling me that you did, if you began following A Paper Proposal on Twitter, leave another comment below telling me you did, etc. The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Monday, May 2nd.

Our wedding is still a year out so we don't have any of those photos yet! If I were to chose a picture we already have, it would be one of our mini dachshuns!

I would love to win this Easy Canvas photo print prize. As founder of a new shark-diving project for cancer survivors, we want to blow up some of our shark pictures for the mantle or office. Specifically, I'm thinking of a blue shark picture we got off the California coast, 2 days after the tsunami wave passed over. This would be a great visual reminder of that memorable trip.

Actually we just moved into a new home and the space above my fireplace lays empty as I really want a canvas print from our wedding to go in that exact spot! I have looked into a few options for canvas companies but I always have a hard time committing! This would be perfect!

I'd LOVE a canvas print of our rescued pets- a husky mix pup and a siamese mix cat. We'd put it out at our wedding since they can't be with us at the venue and then hang it in our new home =)

I would love to have a canvas print of a beautiful moment captured between my son and myself during our family photo shoot. He is actually snuggled up in front of me (which happens infrequently due to his autism)and we are talking. It's very cute and warms my heart every time I see it.
