First, a side note - Don't forget to enter the super cool and totally exciting giveaway!!!!

Now, back to biz as usual! I'm heading to Palm Springs tomorrow and will be relaxing / working from there for the remainder of the week. I'm very much looking forward to enjoying some great outlet shopping, sunshine and cocktails for the next few days!

As one who grew up in the Los Angeles area, I've been going to Palm Springs at least once or twice a year ever since I was a kid. If you haven't had an opportunity to visit, you should. It really is a place like no other. I like to compare Palm Springs to that girl we all know, the one who always looks totally gorgeous without even trying? She rolls of out of bed, puts on a summer dress and a headband and looks instantly cool. She starts trends without even realizing it, avoids makeup and wears the same sunglasses and unique, heirloom jewelry every day. Palm Springs is a lot like that girl we all know. Known for being a lazy sort of cool...if that makes any sense. It has style without being even a little bit pretentious.

It's no surprise that weddings are pretty popular in the Palm Desert area, as well. It's location is kind of perfect for us Southern Californians...far enough where you feel like you're "getting away from it all," but close enough that it doesn't narrow down your guest list all that dramatically. Gorgeous weather, interesting mod/retro hotel venues, sparkling swimming pools and good food. What's not to like???
