This wedding shot by Ruth Eileen Photography is unlike any others that I've featured on A Paper Proposal thus far, but that's what I love about it! With bright yellow bridesmaid dresses, vintage felt and button bouquets, quirky owls and even a Pac-Man cake, it's fun, authentic and truly one-of-a-kind.
Just last month, Kaitlyn and Ty were married in a classic church ceremony, which featured a special musical performance by Ty for his soon-to-be wife. The groomsmen wore grey pants with white dress shirts, along with a tie and suspenders of their own choosing, while the bridesmaids each wore a different yellow dress (a trend that I happen to LOVE, by the way). The entire wedding party had bouquets and boutonnieres made from vintage felt and buttons by Princess Laserton, which only added to the fun, whimsical feeling of the entire wedding day. The reception followed later that evening, and featured a three tier "Owl Love You Forever" wedding cake and a Pac-Man cake, which if you look closely, has two lives left and a game score that matches their wedding date - 3,18,2011.
Lastly, before I let you in on the fun, I thought that I'd point out that for all of its offbeat details, this wedding certainly did not lack sincerity. There's actually a black & white photo included below of the couple dancing at their reception, and Kaitlyn's face pretty much says it all. It's that feeling of overwhelming joy that I like to think most brides are lucky enough to experience at least once on their wedding day. I remember that feeling...I get all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it! :)
