From the sophisticated fashions and passionate embraces, to the rich colors and impactful lighting, photographer Mandie Charlton's photos are chalk-full of old world drama. Starring real life bride and groom Katarina and Scott, Mandie develops a romantic world inspired by one of the most enchanting places in the world (and the couple's honeymoon destination): France.
With an antique blue chaise, a regal pink wedding cake designed by J'Adore Cakes Co. and Victorian-inspired floral creations by Fleurish Design Studio, this winter shoot appears as though it was styled for royalty. With a drama all of its own, bride Katarina's grand Oscar de la Renta couture wedding gown showcases layers upon layers of soft, ivory ruffles that are as delicate as the freshly fallen snow that surrounds her. Within this winter wonderland, the rustic simplicity of the rural scene was, as Mandie puts it, "...the perfect contrast to the old world elegance of the bride and groom."
