Rachel and Sean's great chemistry and personalities are what first drew me to this wedding, and just watching them pose and interact in front of the camera made me smile :) Photographer Lucy Parker, who says that she offers "photography for happy people," did just that with this couple...capturing some great shots of Rachel and Sean taking a stroll Uptown, balloons and chalkboards in hand, while enjoying their stylish art museum wedding in Charlotte.
This wedding is unique and fun in several ways, but what I probably love most of all are Rachel and Sean's wedding day ensembles. Rachel wore a strapless wedding dress with pockets (so cute!), blue heels, a chic little bridal hat and if you look closely, you'll see that she's also sporting a pearl cocktail ring on her right hand...adorable and pretty much perfect. Not to mention Sean's stylish grey suit with the bright white tie, which has a very "uptown" look, I guess you could say! The couple was married this past spring at the modern Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ceremony was held outside on a terrace amongst the skyscrapers, which provided a stunning backdrop that required minimal decor, and the reception was decorated with strings of little butterflies and tall, stylish floral arrangement centerpieces in pink and white. Guests danced outside in front of a live band (LOVE the photo with the sax player, by the way) well into the evening, until finally, Rachel and Sean rode off into the city in a more traditional, slightly unexpected white horse-drawn carriage!
