If you're even half as obsessed with Style Me Pretty as I am, then you may have seen this Phoenix wedding featured there just a couple of weeks ago. The soon-to-be married couple, Molly and Javier, chose to highlight the marriage of their Jewish and Mexican American cultures on their wedding day, while also using a colorful and very creative collection of pretty paper and artwork. Knowing my serious love and appreciation for beautiful paper, photographer Erica Velasco was kind enough to share a ton of detail shots of all of the wonderfully creative and unique wedding invitations, escort cards and other paper details from Molly and Javier's big day.
All of the paper items, with the exception of the Picados (the decorative "Molly loves Javier" paper cut-outs), were designed by the bride, Molly, who also used bold artwork by talented local artist Teresa Villegas throughout the wedding. As you can see, all of her designs are an elegant, tasteful tribute to both her and her husband's own unique cultures. I really love the use of the Picados on the invitations, in particular, along with the colorful vintage postage stamps from Verde Studio!
I really wish I had known about that stamp shop when I was getting married! The boldly colored escort cards that you see below, which were also made using the Loteria images by Villegas, actually turned into fridge magnets for the guests, too!
