Taylor Swift concert I'm sorry that post is going up a bit late today! My husband, Dale, got us tickets last minute to a Taylor Swift concert last night, and it has put me a bit behind! TOTALLY worth it though. LOVE her. Such an awesome concert, and we had really, really great seats! We were right in the middle, and while we weren't super close to the stage (but def close enough), we ended up being right in front of this smaller stage in the center of the stadium, where Taylor played a few songs from. When she was walking down to the stage, Dale even got her hand! The tall stinker! =P Here's a photo that shows just how close we were!

There were a few other notable people there, too...Jason Mraz came out and sang his song, "I'm Yours" with Taylor (awesome), and then Kris Kardashian and her son, Rob and Emma Stone were all there as guests. Katherine Heigl's husband was one of the opening acts (he sang the most precious song about his adopted daughter!), so she was there supporting him, too :) Anyway, it was a great concert - highly recommend it! Plus, I have to say that it was SO nice to see such a positive role model for young girls in Taylor. She was absolutely adorable and very humble throughout the concert. Ha, she seemed completely fascinated with the crowds of fans there, even though she probably does the same thing every night. Dale and I both noticed that there were a good amount of young girls there, but they were all dressed appropriately in cute floral dresses with cowboy boots...I KNOW that we wouldn't see anything like that at a Britney Spears concert, you know? Very refreshing. Anyway, I might be a bit spastic today. Enough about Taylor Swift! PS...Thanks again for last night, babe ;)

Today's real wedding took place in Chicago this past May, and was expertly shot by Steve Koo Photography. There were two things that really struck me about this wedding - 1. The classically beautiful bride, Kate (isn't she stunning?!), and 2. The gorgeous, vibrant floral arrangements by A New Leaf. Kate actually gave the floral designer free reign with the flowers, which ended up coming together perfectly with a lovely combination of bright pink peonies, yellow mums and Craspedia Billy Balls. Admittedly, there aren't a million details to this wedding, but it's so well done, that it really doesn't need anything else! I think it's a great example of how you can still have a beautiful wedding without having to stress yourself out like crazy, obsessing over a million little details.

Speaking of which, the bride offered this advice to fellow brides: Relax and have fun! It's one of the most exciting days of your life, and it goes by in a blink of an eye. Take time for you and your new husband sometime during the day, after the ceremony, for example, to give yourselves some time to reflect on everything you've accomplished, and all of the happiness and joy you've experienced together both today and throughout your relationship. One of the best pieces of advice I personally received on my wedding day was from my aunt, who told me to always remember how happy you are in this moment.

Kate and her groom, Dan did set aside some alone time prior to their wedding ceremony, with a photographed "first look," while their seventy guests were enjoying cocktails at the ceremony venue. The photos of the couple taken around the city are a perfect compliment to the entire style of the wedding day, too, don't you think? The reception venue for Kate and Dan's wedding celebration, A New Leaf in Chicago, had a very refined and contemporary feel to it with the industrial interior, that was made really warm with lots of glowing candlelight. The couple's modern white three tier wedding cake was created by Amy Beck Cake Design LLC and topped by simple wooden cake topper by Goose Grease.
