As you will soon see, photographers Mindi and Rich of Photography by VerdiVendor on Paper Wedding Professional have a very specific point of view and a very cool photographic style. They have a serious knack for story telling, which I love, and in my opinion, it's what makes this engagement shoot remarkable.

"It was as if the sun, moon and stars aligned," said the photographers when describing today's super cool engagement shoot starring Amanda and Derrick outside of Mesa, Arizona. Photographers Mindi and Rich envisioned the engaged couple traveling through the west, having come upon an all-but-deserted ghost town. Amanda and Derrick are hitchhiking along the side of the road with their thumbs in the air and exploring the eerie ghost town in the blistering desert heat, all while waiting to get back to civilization. There are trailers, broken down trucks and even an old diner - basically every thing you'd expect to see in one of those creepy movies based in the middle of nowhere. Only it isn't creepy. It's cool, and even a tad bit sexy. I also really love the photos of the cowboy hats on the wall, the mailboxes, the rear view mirror, the gas pump and the dog on the porch...It really sets up the story and gives the entire shoot a really cool vibe! Really, you almost forget that you're looking at an engagement shoot!

There are many kinds of engagement shoots. I think that I even mentioned last week how important it is for you and your partner to decide what you want to get out of your engagement session. This session really takes you somewhere else - it's very much about having fun and doing something completely different, out of the ordinary and memorable.

Very cool! The first couple of images reminded me of the movie "The Hitchhiker". Glad the e-session wasn't scary though ;-)

Fantastic idea! I love the old camper photos! Could modeling be a calling for this gorgeous couple?
