Hey guys! Sorry I'm a little late this morning. We just got back from California yesterday, and we had a pretty big doctor's appointment this morning! We found out the gender of our baby :) I'm not revealing it just yet though...I'm hoping to share it sometime next week! Any guesses? If so, feel free to put in your vote for boy or girl below!
Today's Picks on Paper is focusing on a pretty popular wedding flower, the dahlia. I actually wasn't all that familiar with dahlias until I started planning my own wedding, and I was amazed at how perfectly beautiful they are. I just think they look so symmetrical and perfect...that's why I like them, anyway! Native to Mexico and Central America, dahlias are typically in season in the Fall, and come in a variety of rich colors and variations. One especially popular variety is the Dinner Plate "Cafe au Lait" dahlia, which is the larger and fluffier dahlias you'll often see used in floral bouquets and single blooms in centerpieces. Unlike most dahlias though, the Cafe au Lait dahlia is actually available in the summertime! I've included a variety of dahlia blooms below, showcasing just how versatile they can be for any wedding, in any color and in any season.
