It seems like more and more couples are choosing to take private time right before the wedding ceremony for a special "First Look." It's a chance for the couple to take a moment for themselves, to relish in their special day, and to appreciate the commitment that they are about to make to one another. This, of course, is the modern alternative to the somewhat older superstition that dictates that it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
Personally, my husband and I chose to go the traditional route because we wanted to experience that special moment when we locked eyes for the first time as I walked down the aisle. Though if you happen to be on the fence about whether or not to have a First Look on your wedding day, I urge you to consider a hidden third option - a gift exchange! Making plans to exchange a gift or letter right before the ceremony is a great way to still have that private moment of reflection, without necessarily seeing one another before the ceremony. My husband and I exchanged letters before ours, and we were so happy that we did. Or if love letters aren't your thing, urge your hubby to spring for something bigger (and more sparkly!) to honor your big day – jewelry!
A fabulous piece of jewelry is a really special way to mark an equally momentous occasion. Just imagine walking down the aisle with one of these gorgeous diamond tennis bracelets on your wrist! Many of these stunners were pulled from the vintage diamond bracelets collection by Anjolee.

More and more brides are rocking the statement jewelry these days. If you're looking to make a bigger statement down the aisle, a bangle bracelet is a super wearable option for your wedding day and beyond! When it comes these pieces, I say, "The more, the better!" I don't know about you, but I would stack ten on each wrist, if I could!

Alternatively, if there are any parents out there looking to share more than a family heirloom with the bride on her wedding day, I love the idea of giving a special gemstone birthstone bracelet. This Princess Cut Diamond and Gemstone Bracelet is my personal favorite, although a gemstone bracelet is also a great way to get in your little "Something blue!"
