Can you guys believe it's already spring? I realize that it has been spring for a while now, but whenever it hits April, I have a mini freak out over how quickly the year has gone by. I think it's because April means that my birthday is only two months away, and I'll be another year older very soon!
It seems like the days really can just pass you by if you don't pay attention. This morning, I was actually reading the latest post on Rhi's beautiful blog, Hey Gorgeous, and it inspired me to start thinking about (and working toward) some personal goals of my own this month. Sure, I set some larger goals for myself in the New Year, but I'm talking about smaller, more tangible goals that will help me make the most of each day. I think my biggest obstacle is that I never actually set these goals for myself in the first place, and instead, I focus on my day-to-day tasks. I think that I mainly do this because it's easier for me to focus on the immediate future (as in tomorrow and the next day), but then all of a sudden, it's April, and I can't believe how quickly time has flown by! I don't have my list of goals for the month to share with you just yet, but I will have one to share with you soon!
Despite the fact that the new season has managed to "spring" up on me rather suddenly, I have to admit that the bounty of fragrant florals, bright colors and sunshine is impossible to resist! This is especially true for me this year because I'm actually seeing the trees begin to bloom here in Colorado, and it's so exciting! In Southern California (where I'm from), there's hardly any visible change from winter to spring, although that's exactly where today's spring inspired styled shoot took place!
The styled shoot that I am featuring today showcases everything that is beautiful about the season! The romance of spring is celebrated with gorgeous styling by Eventity Inc. amazing flowers by Cherry Blossom Floral Designs, ruffled cakes by Hey There Cupcake! and pretty wedding paper by Nic. Roc Designs. Monica of Eventity Inc. chose a perfect tangerine and pink color palette that has to be the color combination of the season (the year, even!). There's such a warmth to it, and I love how the color palette is modern, but still manages to stay true to the inherent femininity and romance of spring.
The sundrenched photos by Found Creative Studio, taken at the picturesque Villa De Flores, perfectly compliment the warm spring color palette. The beautiful garden setting, along with the surrounding candlelight, string lights and mason jars hanging from the trees only add to the romantic ambiance of the spring season, too, don't you think??? The vintage spring tablescape showcases an abundance of flowers celebrating the current season, along with a burlap and lace tablerunner, glass vases in a bright and unexpected aqua blue and sweet lace wrapped votive candles. Really, I could go on and on about all of the pretty details, but instead, I'll just let you seem them for yourself! ;)
