Whew! Well, it has been one crazy week so far. I've been in California visiting my family for the past couple of weeks, and I swear, everything seems to take twice as long for me to get done than if I am still back at home. I know that I'm really lucky to be able to work from anywhere, pretty much, but things do seem just a smidge harder to complete when I'm working remotely. I think the main reason for this is because I'm such a creature of habit! Regardless though, I feel pretty lucky to be able to take my work anywhere. My husband and I moved away to Denver in January, and me being able to blog, write and edit from anywhere has made the transition a bit easier for me and my family because I can travel back to California much more than I normally would be able to if I had a normal, 9 to 5 job with limited vacation time.
So I'm not sure if you've noticed yet...hopefully, you have, because this portion of the website has been available for a while! If you look above up on my navigation bar, I have a page called Words on Paper. This page features tons of signs - cute quotes and ideas for what to put on your favor tags, on your candy bar, and other fun signage to jazz up your ceremony and reception decor and wedding photos. The signs are categorized into six sections to help you find what you're looking for, and everything can be pinned to your Pinterest for safe keeping. If you're interested, I can also help you recreate many of the signs and tags you'll see on Words on Paper! Just send me an email at Sarah-at-apaperproposal-dot-com ;)
Anyway, I didn't bring this up for the hell of it, because this week's Picks on Paper is actually all about SIGNS! I thought it was about time that I did another roundup of some of my favorites. I really think adding a cute sign to your decor can be so impactful, and it's an easy and cost effective way to inject a little bit of personality into your wedding day; whether that is putting the lyrics to your favorite song up on display at your ceremony, printing a clever quote on your wedding favors or even just informing your guests how to use the candy bar in a cute and clever fashion. I wish I had used more signs in my own wedding! I wanted to have some all along, to be honest, but the minor detail sort of slipped my mind with all of the wedding planning craziness in the end. Bummer, I know. So take it from me; if you want to integrate signage into your wedding, don't wait until the last minute! :)
Today, I sifted through lots and lots of signs, both on Words on Paper, as well as on other wedding blogs and on Pinterest, to share some of my most recent favorites with you guys today!
