Hi all! I hope you all had a great Fourth of July. Dale and I had a good time; I made some yummy food (BBQ ribs for the first time in my life, and they turned out AMAZING), we relaxed a bit during the day, went to the pool, and then met some friends down at the park in front of our apartment building for fireworks. The fireworks last night were somewhat lacking, but that was sort of expected this year. The wildfires have been so bad here in Colorado that most of the fireworks shows were cancelled; we were just happy that they hadn't cancelled the one close to home! That, and we did happen to catch the best fireworks show that we've ever seen last weekend at the Rockies baseball game, so we can't complain, really :)
Anyway, today, I'm happy to share Emily and Paul's rather classic San Francisco engagement shoot, complete with the famous Golden Gate Bridge, a moss-covered ampersand, pretty tulips and a picnic blanket! While her photos don't reveal a thing, photographer Heather Scharf was certainly fighting the elements to get her photos on this cool day in March! "The forecast called for rain, but instead, we got rain's cousin...WIND! It was so windy, that we saw a girl get blown over...to the GROUND!" said Heather. "I literally couldn't stay on two feet without being pushed over!"
Despite the crazy wind that day, Heather was able to capture some great, easy, breezy? photos of the happy couple outside by the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. I love the shots of them cuddling in the bed of pretty red tulips! Emily and Paul are getting married down in North Carolina later on this year, and we wish them the best!
