Wow, it's Thursday! The week has been breezing by pretty quickly for me, which is always a good thing (except when you're on vacation, of course). I'm actually looking forward to a quick trip back to California in a week from today to attend the wedding of a close family friend. I haven't seen my family in a couple of months now, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again! Since I've moved from California, I haven't been able to go more than two, two and a half months without seeing my family before I really start missing them. Luckily, I'm able to fly back and visit pretty frequently given my work-at-home job situation and my awesome, awesome hubby :)
Anyway, back to business! I'm very excited to share today's absolutely stunning country styled shoot by AK Studio Design with you all today. With an ideal combination of gorgeous, sun-drenched photography, two beautiful horses and chic, country style, Summer and Brad's photos couldn't be more personal and romantic. To me, it seems like this shoot could easily be a "Trash the Dress" session or even an anniversary shoot instead of a styled one, with all of the simply beautiful shots of Summer and Brad out in the field with their horses. But we love it no matter what it's called!
"Summer and Brad are just as about laid-back country as they come," described their photographer. "Their love has that calm, southern laid-back feel to it, so of course, their shoot needed to reflect that same feel. Summer has loved horses since she was a little girl, and has competed her whole life. She knew that Brad was 'The One' when he not only shared her love for all things equestrian, but he stole her heart from the animals she had loved all her life. This shoot took place on her family's ranch in Utah and at a close friend's nearby pasture, both of which Brad and Summer of have spent many lazy day summer rides enjoying long horseback rides together. Every turn holds a special memory for these two, who have spent hours together in this beautiful countryside."
"Perfect golden sunlight turned this session into just another lazy country afternoon, just like so many that took place while falling in love. Styled by Forevermore Events, it was important that we integrated simple elements that represented the couples unique country style. Summer and Brad both professionally compete in the rodeo circuit, so a great setup that included not only their property, but also saddles and different elements of their riding careers was essential. Light textures, gorgeous lace, horseshoes and simple colors were chosen for the tablescape that had that great vintage country feel. Integrating a nearby mulberry tree on the family ranch also gave the shoot that personal touch."
