Who doesn't love peonies? I mean, really! I thought it was about time that I dedicated an entire blog post to these gorgeous flowers in all of their glory. There's something so lush, feminine and romantic about peonies that makes them unlike any other flower out there. Their large blooms and romantic qualities also make them ideal for weddings! They're coveted by brides everywhere looking to fill their bouquets and centerpieces, and top their wedding cakes with peonies in the most popular shades of white and pink.
Peonies are in season from late Spring to early Summer, but they tend to be a bit pricey no matter when you purchase them. My advice? If you're dying for some peonies on your wedding day but your budget is holding you back, put them in your bridal bouquet, and use other (cheaper) flowers elsewhere. Or a good and rather popular alternative to peonies are garden and cabbage roses. You get the same lush look without the hefty price tag!
