Hey guys! So today's wedding is really, really pretty. I mean, this wedding is so pretty, that I had to split it up into two parts, and I never do that. I've only split up a wedding into two separate days one other time, and if you go back and check it out, you'll see exactly why. There's just too much loveliness to fit into a single blog post, and I'm not about to omit my favorite photos just to keep the blog post a reasonable length.
Designed by wedding blogger, Christina of The Desert Bride, this Arizona wedding had a "Rustic, glam, cozy and cute" theme, as she described. With stylish photos by Trevor Dayley, you will soon see that there are so many pretty details to admire, from the loads of bridal sparkle and her fabulous shoes by Vivienne Westwood, to the mismatched blush pink bridesmaid dresses, chic stationery designs and delicate pink and white florals.
Christina and her husband, Christian, who is from Vienna, Austria, were married at the Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, Arizona last April. Because so many of their guests were from out of town, Christina and Christian planned out an entire weekend of events to enjoy including a "Welcome" happy hour, a rehearsal brunch and a farewell BBQ for all of their guests.
While planning (all the way from Austria), the couple tried to shy away from too much of anything that could be described as too "Traditional," with the bridesmaids carrying feather clutches instead of bouquets, and the groomsmen in mismatched suits and handmade rosettes instead of standard boutonnieres. The couple also opted for a nontraditional first look to see one another prior to their outdoor ceremony, where they spent two full hours taking photos together. And oh boy, are there SO many beautiful photos to look at! Again, why I had to split them up into two days! As for the ceremony, "We picked very nontraditional ceremony music," said Christina. "The processional was 'Teenage Dream,' an acoustic cover by Tyler Ward, and I walked down the aisle to 'Cosmic Love' by Florence & the Machine. The recessional was to 'Home' by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros."
Christina and her husband's gorgeous rustic glam wedding will continue on APP tomorrow, when I'll share more photos from their first look time together and their beautiful evening reception!
