Lately, I've been feeling really, really achey. Baby Jack had a bit of a growth spurt this past month, and I am definitely feeling it (and him, in all of his 5.5 pound glory). It's crazy, because 5.5 pounds doesn't sound like much...but when you add in all of my extra weight on top of that, as well as all of the extra water weight I'm carrying, it's getting a little BRUTAL on my body! My lower back hurts and my sciatic pain is back in full force these days. Despite my complaining though, I have actually been pretty good about working out. My diet is kind of (no, more like totally) out of control, but I DO workout! ...and that's saying something when you consider that I haven't felt all that great while pregnant!
I've been hitting the gym at least 2 or 3 times a week throughout my pregnancy, and then trying to do a workout or two at/around home on the off days, as well. I've been trying to walk around the neighborhood when I can, but it has been pretty cold and snowy here lately. I have been stuck inside a little more than I would like, so I've been scouring Pinterest looking for workouts I can still do at my size while at home in my living room. Turns out, it's kind of tough to find a decent workout that you can do at home that doesn't require lots of running, jumping and heavy weights. While searching last week, I came across this graphic featuring a series of leg strengthening exercises, thought it was doable, and decided to give it a try. Turns out, it was pretty tough! Doing the exercises in succession got my heartrate up, and there wasn't anything too...bouncy for me and my big 'ol belly. I also loved that I was sore the next day, which is always the best test of a good workout, right?
