Hey guys! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, but I'm back today with a sweet rustic wedding in West Brookfield, Mass. What struck me most about this June wedding were the gorgeous florals! I love the pretty blend of fresh white and lavender florals and greens...it's elegant, but not too perfect. "My favorite flowers are peonies, so I requested my bouquet include some peonies," said the bride, Tanya. "We didn't want to be too specific with flower types though; we wanted everything to be fresh-picked and beautiful. The in-house florist at the venue, Barry [at the Salem Cross Inn], grows flowers at both his house and Salem Cross, and he encouraged us to let him do what he does best and put together beautiful arrangements based on what was blooming at the time. This also helped keep our cost down! The weekend of the wedding, a bush of white peonies bloomed at his house, and he was able to use them in my bouquet along with the other beautiful flowers he had picked."
Along with all of those beautiful flowers, Tanya wanted a rustic feel to her day, so she used lots of burlap, mason jars and chalkboard signs to go along with the charming Inn venue. Guests also enjoyed a fun popcorn snack bar at the reception. The photography duo, Pat and Kate O'Brien of O'Brien Photo, did an amazing job of capturing all of the beautiful details from Tanya and JP's day.
