Oh boy, do I have a stunner for you today! Lauren and Jordan's wedding is rustic, yet completely romantic with a picturesque venue in Virginia, lots of lush white florals and charming cotton and burlap details. That fireplace at the ceremony altar covered in flowers is a total showstopper, made by Anthomanic using Queen Anne's Lace, Jasmine Vine, Hanging Amaranthus, David Austen Juliet Garden Roses, Sahara Roses, Lisianthus, Dusty Miller and Brunia Berries. Plus, I'm very much in love with Lauren's elegant Justin Alexander lace wedding gown! So pretty!
Lauren and Jordan were married on a rainy Thursday at Stevenson Ridge in the presence of 80 family and friends. Photographed by Carley Rehberg, Carley described the beautiful significance of Lauren and Jordan's chosen wedding day, August 1st. "At the reception, her incredibly sweet dad, Buddy, gave a speech, and then it all made sense. He first started by saying August 1st was his wife, Suzanne's birthday. What a way to remember your birthday...the day your baby girl married the love of her life...Buddy went on to tell the room that August 1st was his late parents' wedding day. 65 years ago, they were married in a rain storm. The whole day suddenly became 100 times more beautiful to me. I attempted to hide my tears from behind my camera because it was just that wonderful." Not surprisingly, her dad's speech was one of Lauren's most memorable moments of the day.
Before we get to the photos, I just loved Lauren and Jordan's sweet proposal story. "We have been together for almost five years. On our first Christmas together, Jordan's gift to me was a picture frame that he made out of old barn wood. It was funny and special and everything that I love about him. In July 2013, he proposed to me with the most beautiful ring tucked into a ring box made out of the same old wood. He's not a 'grand gestures' kind of guy, but he's romantic and thoughtful in the most creative and unique ways. It was a no-frills, no-makeup, life changing moment that I will never forget. I am so blessed to be loved by this man."
