"Andrew and I are from San Francisco, and spend many weekends escaping the fog and retreating to sunny Sonoma," shared the bride, Monica. "We had decided on Cabo San Lucas as our wedding location, but we were unsure of whether we wanted to have a beach wedding, a resort wedding, or something different altogether. When we first visited Flora Farms in San Jose Del Cabo, we knew this was where we wanted to be married. It felt like a little bit of Sonoma had been dropped into Mexico (and imagine our delight to find out the owners of Flora Farms are from Sonoma!).
"Flora Farms is a 10-acre organic working farm nestled in the hills above the waters of Cabo. Tucked into a mango grove, with kale plants bordering our ceremony site, we celebrated with 50 of our closest friends and family. Guests enjoyed watermelon juleps and carrot margaritas - cocktails made with the farm's own fruits and vegetables. A long table for 50 was set up in front of the barn, illuminated by twinkling lights strung overhead. The family-style meal included fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits; everything we feasted on came right from the farm. Guests moved inside the barn after dinner to get their groove on, dancing the night away under a beautiful crystal chandelier. Rustic-chic details were woven throughout, from the wheelbarrow beer cooler to the hay bale bar. While our two French Bulldog fur babies couldn't be with us, they still felt like part of the celebration: the cake topper included a silhouette of two Frenchies, and the groom's cufflinks were sterling silver French Bulldogs."
