Romantic and Regal Winter Wedding Tuesday, February 14, 2012 ~ 9:30 a.m.

Happy Valentine's Day! My husband surprised me with big box of chocolates and a sweet card this morning :) I hope that all of your boyfriends, fiances and husbands take good care of all of you ladies, too! I'm looking forward to making my hubby a romantic dinner this evening, and I'll have a little present waiting for him when he gets home from work :)

Along with the sweet romance that is synonomous with Valentine's Day are the deep red and fragrant roses that are always a hot commodity on February 14th. There's something so classic and timeless about them, yet it seems as though they've gotten a bad rep lately in weddings! I think that they can sometimes be viewed as "Old school" flowers from the 80s...you know, we picture the big bouquets of roses that all of our mothers carried down the aisle, mixed with lots of baby's breath and wrapped in pink tulle fabric! However, even if you're not a fan of roses, it's nearly impossible to deny their inherent romance, and when arranged properly, I think that they can be perfectly modern! I personally love them in all colors, shapes and sizes, and I'm kind of surprised that I don't see them used more in weddings nowadays!

Today's bride, Diana, chose the classic red rose to decorate her wedding day this past November in Phoenix, Arizona. With lots of red roses, a groom in a classic black tuxedo and an evening reception by candlelight, I thought it was the perfect wedding to feature on Valentine's Day! After seeing Diana and Michael's wedding photos by the ever-talented duo, Mindi and Rich of Photography by VerdiVendor on Paper Wedding Professional, I just thought there was something so regal about the entire day, too...like a romantic winter wedding fit for royalty! My favorite photos are the ones taken of Diana and Michael in the amazing lobby of the Arizona Biltmore hotel; they exude so much style and glamour! I just love it! :)
