Sure, high school sweethearts are sweet, but today's couple, Dave and Amanda, are actually junior high school sweethearts! "We became 'official' on Valentine's Day in 2005. [Dave] took me out to dinner to Ruby Tuesdays (Hey, we were in high school!) and when I got home to my parent's house, he had [a] friend write 'PROM?' in candles on my bedroom floor!" After graduating from different high schools, the couple maintained a long distance relationship during college, with Dave in North Carolina and Amanda in New York. After graduating college, they eventually settled back home together in Connecticutt, where they were married this summer.
Showcased at the beautiful The Society Room of Hartford, Dave and Amanda selected a vintage Gatsby theme with a shimmering gold and black color palette. Amanda made signs showcasing quotations from the novel, and decorated the reception with tall floral centerpieces and long white feathers, and shimmering gold accents to complete the 1920s look. The upscale affair was photographed by Candace Jeffery, who brought the bride and groom to the Capitol Building and around Pratt Street for many of the wedding photos.
