Aaron and Laura first met as part of a study abroad trip in Spain. "A girl tripped as she was getting on the bus that would take us to our school, and he laughed at her," shared Laura. "I immediately thought he was a total jerk. (Turns out he was friends with the girl and was allowed to laugh!)" A few weeks later, Aaron and Laura had the opportunity to get to know each other better while exploring Madrid during the last bull fight of the season. They were inseperable and best friends from that point on! "We instated a weekly movie date, in which we would go to the theater without checking movie times, or even what's playing, and just pick one when we got there. Over time, once-a-week movie nights became two or three (or seven) nights a week. And finally, we realized what everyone around us already knew: We were meant to be together."
A few years later, Aaron spelled out "Will you marry me?" using the many movie ticket stubs from all of their dates over the years. For their fall wedding, Laura and Aaron incorporated their love of the movies into their big day, naming the reception tables after their favorite films and using a cool Jurassic Park jeep as their transportation for the day.
