Today's wedding is one of those events that I could spend forever working on. Maybe it's the joyful photography by Blueberry Creative, or the pretty, pretty florals by Kickstand Events and the couple's family, or it could be the incredible detail that the bride provided me about her special day. Most likely, it's D - All of the above. I just hope I can do it justice while watching my 8-month old baby boy playing with his toys (and occasionally, my keyboard) beside me!
Bethany and Jake were married last May at the classic Bellamy Mansion in Wilmington, North Carolina. The couple first met 12 years ago while in college, and then lost touch when they both entered the workforce. They later reconnected and fell in love after a difficult time in Jake's life. "I was in the middle of metaphorical blizzard/ice storm/hurricane/tsunami time in my life, and Bethany rescued me like two ships passing in the middle of the night," said Jake. "That is when I realized how much he meant to me, and he wasn't just a friend," said Bethany.
A classic love story for a classic spring wedding filled with the bride's favorite flowers - baby's breath, as well as lush pink peonies, ranunculus, spray roses and distinctively silver dusty miller. The groom's parents were a huge help in much of the decor for this wedding including the the signage, table numbers and many of the florals. Looking back, Bethany had trouble deciding on her favorite memory from the big day. "I loved being able to be with the people that I loved. Everywhere I turned, I was surrounded by a smiling face! Everyone helped make it an extra special day and it showed! Every detail was made with love...Another one of my favorite moments was when Jake and his mom broke out into the 'Thriller' dance during the Mother/Son dance!"
