Hey guys! I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day with your sweeties :) Dale and I kept it pretty low key last night since we went out for a nice, romantic dinner date downtown the night before Valentine's Day, on Wednesday. Now the weekend is here, and I couldn't be happier to have some time to get things done. I feel like our house is in disarray right now, but I just don't have the time to get everything done. Just taking a walk through my house stresses me out! So my husband and I will be using this weekend to get caught up around here, and hopefully, I'll get to start next week all fresh! Just how I like it!
Now that my baby shower is done, I figure it's time for me to really buckle down and get baby Jack's nursery all ready for him. At this point, we have it painted, a crib setup and I've washed and hung up some of his baby clothes in his closet. My next immediate goals are to get the closet organized (I ordered a bunch of bins to keep it organized because at this point, all of his stuff is just stacked on the floor), and order the changing table and rocker/glider. Besides that though, I also have some more frou-frou decorative ideas that I'm planning for the nursery walls, but I figure that I'll really get to work on those once I get the more important stuff done.
One of the things that I am planning on for Jack's nursery is a gallery wall. As I'm sure you guys know, gallery walls can be seriously tricky. The last one that I tried seemed to turn out well until my 6'6 husband came home and I realized that the entire frame arrangement was set way too low on the wall! Looking back, I probably didn't do enough prep work before I started hammering nails in, so I definitely plan on my next gallery wall taking me a bit longer to complete the right way. Earlier this week, I actually saw that Chelsea of Two Twenty One (GREAT blog, by the way) had just finished her own gallery wall in her home office. I saved a photo to share with you guys because I love how hers turned out. There's a great mix of both photos and fun gallery prints.
Baby Jack's Nursery Prints
Since I want to use photos of the baby in my gallery wall (obvs), I figure that I'll have to hold off on finishing it until after Jack is born. However, I do plan on getting started on the art prints that I want to include! I do love my paper, after all :) I have been collecting some of my favorite prints and sayings via Pinterest and my Etsy favorites, and thought I would just share them with you guys today. I plan on redesigning and printing most of these myself so that they all use a similar color palette.
A handful of sweet, handmade nursery goodies for my baby's room that I've found and loved on Etsy.
This Try-Day Friday, I'm instituting a daily cleaning schedule to help me manage keeping our newer and bigger home clean!
