The forecast called for rain all day on Colby and Lance's wedding day at Cottage on the Creek in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Luckily, the skies stayed clear for their first look and photos, captured by Taylor Rae Photography, and the rain held out until after their ceremony by the water!
Colby and Lance's wedding was coordinated by Beth LeonGuerrero of Wildflowers Inc.. "The spring colors could not have been more gorgeous, and the overcast skies only made the greenery pop. Beth used white vases to accent the pinks, whites, and greens of the floral arrangements. Loose and natural florals integrated soft muted shades of creams, light pink, blush, mints and hints of gray. The gray tableclothes created the perfect neutral palette for the rest of the colors."
Colby loves to craft, and she took the opportunity to handle many of the wedding details herself! For instance, the gifts for their guests were endless. Handmade coasters that sat on top of every napkin, a stack of bangles set by the dance floor along with a sign that told the ladies to "grab a bangle and dance the night away," and flip flops as dancing shoes. Another highlight from the reception is the dessert bar, created by Sugar Bakeshop. Colby found the cake stand engraved with "Love is Sweet," as well as the cake utensils on Etsy.
